Lights On!
The Lights On! Podcast — A Mother-Daughter co-hosted show about energy, truth, and staying lit!
Diamond Lightning presents, The Lights On! Podcast, your invitation to stop sleepwalking through life, hosted by Kyahnasun and Anamika. This show is a fearless, soulful, and often hilarious deep dive into the conversations most people are too comfortable — or too scared — to have. We cut through the surface-level noise, lift the veil on hidden dynamics, and shine a light on the forces, people, and patterns that are quietly dimming your inner light.
Each episode is honest, healing, and entertaining. Whether we’re unpacking the nature of energy and consciousness, exposing social scripts that keep people stuck, or sharing raw stories from our own lives, the mission is always the same: to help you keep your lights on and remain limitless!
We play. We go deep. We say the hard things. And we have a lot of fun doing it.
Kyahnasun is a music producer, DJ, entrepreneur, fashion designer, and artist. Adopted as a toddler from South Korea, by an American family, she grew up in San Clemente, California and moved out into the big world at the age of 17. She eventually landed in LA to pursue film and found her love of music and dance. There she began her spiritual journey and eventually made her home on the island of Kaua'i for 13 years. Her life has been defined by reinvention, resilience, transformation, and her curiosity to understand human behavior at its roots. Trained in pattern recognition, business, and coaching, Kyahnasun brings a rare combination of creativity, playfulness, and depth to every conversation. She is attuned to the invisible and has an uncanny ability to read people, identify patterns, and name dynamics that most people overlook.
Anamika is an entrepreneur, fashion designer, photographer, and artist who was born and raised on Kaua’i, Hawai’i. She grew up entirely within alternative education. Rather than being funneled through a standardized system designed to produce conformity, Anamika was given something far rarer: the freedom to think for herself, pursue what fascinated her, and develop her own framework for understanding the world. Shaped by the lush, spiritual landscape of Kaua’i, Anamika brings a deeply intuitive and aesthetically rich perspective to the show. She sees the world in symbols, layers, and energy — and she isn't afraid to name what she sees.
The Lights On! Podcast exists at the intersection of consciousness, history, energy, and everyday life. Our conversations span a wide range of topics including:
• How to read rooms, people, and situations; the science and spirituality of frequency; what it means to be a high-energy person in a low-energy world
• Hidden knowledge — the stories we were never taught, the timelines that were rewritten, the cultural and historical truths that have been suppressed or ignored
• Human behavior and psychology — why people do what they do, the insecurities that drive behavior, how to stop being drained by others.
• Personal sovereignty and unbothered living — how to stop giving your power away, how to identify who and what is killing your lights, and how to reclaim your energy without apology.
• Spirituality and inner life — higher callings, purpose, intuition, and the deeper architecture of a meaningful life
• Storytelling and lived experience — raw, real stories from our own lives that illuminate universal truths.
• Pop culture, music, and art — examined through a lens that goes far beneath the surface.
• Most importantly we talk about what lights us up.
The Lights On! Podcast is for the truth seekers — the ones ready to engage with life at full wattage!

Three, two, one.
SPEAKER_00On a scale of one to ten, how lit up are you right now?
SPEAKER_01I'd say I'm at a seven. All right. What about you?
SPEAKER_00Ooh, an eight. Oh damn, okay. And you, the listener, how lit up are you right now? One to ten. Ten being the most lit up ever, and one being the complete opposite. This is a great audit to see where you're really at in this moment and where you want to be and how you can close that gap.
SPEAKER_01So, how do you handle light killers?
SPEAKER_00Dang, going straight for the job. We just gotta get in love. Wow. Well, it's always a learning curve and a continuous learning curve because they never stop. They're relentless. Persistent committed. Yeah, they're committed to the role. 2,000%. And thank goodness for that, because they truly make us a better player, right? You know, it's a journey learning how to navigate light killers. They make you have to polish yourself and revisit aspects that need cleaning up, tightening up. We laugh about it actually, because we know it's game on all the time. Putting ourselves out there and playing our game, our mission, our purpose, what lights us up. Those guarantee that the light killers are gonna come hunt you down. Even family members, friends. To answer a question, I think the first thing is awareness of them. Because when you're aware of what's happening, you have the choice to not play. Because they're always proposing a game. Usually it's dominance, or they they'll say something that just feels twisted or turned off. It turns you off, turns your lights off. That's the first indication that they're a light killer. There's people that turn you on, and there's people that turn you off. And it's not sexual. I mean, it can be, I guess, but but I mean turned on like your lights are on. And you know when you feel good and you feel yourself around people, and when it's the opposite, when you completely feel turned off, unseen, it's like dead energy in the room. You can see it on your face too. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01People age 20 years, they get uglier. Like we laugh about it all the time. We see it physically on our faces, and just in our energy as well. Just sucked out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we actually give ourselves that feedback. Like when I see it on you, the change in your face, or if you see it on me, you're like, whoa, mom, that person just like sucked out all your beauty. And it's true. Youthfulness and vitality is a light, it's a form of light, it's a form of magnetism, it's electricity, it's radiating out of us in us, and people feel it and they they're attracted to it. And then when the light killer, you come into contact with a light killer, it's like they just suck it out if you let them. And that's the key, if you let them. And I let them do that so many years. Oh my gosh. And then you realize what actually is happening, and then when you identify it, then you can take better action or make a decision like, no, I'm actually not going to let them suck my life force from me. Amen. And the reason you don't let that happen is it's not serving them and it's not serving you, it's a lose-lose because light killers or vampires, energy vampires, they're not self-sustaining. They're dependent on getting energy from other people for whatever reason. It's like a parasite. Right. They're wounded, they don't know better, ignorance, they're just maybe heavily damaged from life and maybe lost in it. So that's their go-to game. You're not in service to them by allowing them to suck you. The feedback that they need is to not allow them to suck you. Because then they're like, What? And they'll come after you even harder. Guaranteed. And you then you have to learn how to navigate that because you have to hold that boundary and that line like fucking hard. And they'll try every fucking thing, every game to get you and irk you. And really, they are making you a better player because they're showing you every little crevice that they can enter into. So that's the work. I love this that we can talk.
SPEAKER_01I feel like it's very rare to have a really close relationship with parents as well.
SPEAKER_00It's like on a soul level. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I do believe in on soul levels that there are soul groups that you just jive with. Your tribe. Yeah, soul tribe. There's just people you're in resonance with, and it's effortless, you know, and you cherish those connections. And of course, there's connections you have to work for, and they're also valuable and worth it. It's interesting to see how you vibe with certain people and different tribes, and how some are like just oil and water. They don't we don't jive. And energy vampires are one of them for me. I just don't jive with them, and I don't jive with like witchy people. Witchy people can be very manipulative and not in the win-win sense. And I look for that in people. People that create win-wins, where they win, I win, everyone wins. A lot of times with manipulation, it's one wins and one loses, and that's like old paradigm. I'm fucking over that. Or lose lose. Oh, those are even worse. So, how do you deal with the witchy archetype? I don't. I don't play. I'm not interested in it. I used to get distracted by them because that's their whole point. They want to draw you in so then they can suck you out and like steal your energy, or or just play these manipulative witchy games. That's what it is. I just don't give them my attention anymore. As soon as I smell it, or as soon as I smell or detect a mean bone, like they're fucking mean. Anyone, not just a witch, but just witchy people and mean people, I don't even bother. I don't, I don't have time for that shit. And I want to spread goodness in the world, and I am not gonna let some mean or uh manipulative person come destroy or destroy the people that I love and protect. And that goes with like lying, manipulation, energy vampires. These are all people you gotta keep away from your inner circle. They will fucking take it out in you and not even blink an eye and on to the next destruction. The next victim.
SPEAKER_01Not to be victim, but you don't have you don't have to play out the victim game either, because that's another whole thing as well.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, everything is a is an opportunity to be empowered by it and grow. How do you handle energy vampires?
SPEAKER_01I mean, I've learned a lot from you, but it's definitely I feel different about it now than I did back in the day. I was much more, I don't know if susceptible is the right word, but I'd let them. And I don't think that's how you play anymore. Like you just can't do that, especially if you want to be let them how. What do you mean? Oh, let them have. You know what I mean? Your energy, your dreams, like they will stomp on you and push your buttons, and it really just shows you how you have to grow and navigate that whole situation. You have to notice where they're pushing your buttons, and that's telling you where your own insecurities are and where they're infiltrating you. Nice.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it is like an infiltration. Yeah. So let's decide to be only infiltrated by love and people that light us up and themselves up.
SPEAKER_01You have to maintain your lights. Yeah. You have to. So, what lights you up? Honestly, this podcast. I think I've been waiting for an opportunity like this to just get our ideas out there and our conversations because I feel like I've been hiding and in a little bubble trying not to be seen.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01But it's time to be seen. Oh, I love it. And I'm just really excited to have all our conversations that we have at home and just casual situations because our relationship is very open. We talk about everything, we're blunt, we're honest, we cut through the bullshit.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01My favorite word, apparently. Yeah, I love it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you gotta cut through the noise and all that shit. Shit. It's so cool to have this platform with you. I'm really grateful. Me too. This is gonna be such an adventure where we're just having these conversations, sharing these conversations, and grow. It's gonna be so much fun and have guests on here. I'm so excited. And just staying true to what lights us up is so important. That's when you know, too, when someone speaks truth, you take a deep breath involuntarily from the gut, and you just feel everything just go settle in. We can be on do-do-do and BBB, and you know, being an entrepreneur, of course, you're you're constantly moving and thousand miles per hour. Yeah, but it's nice when you have these moments and someone says something like what you just did, and you could just feel it.
SPEAKER_01And I think it's really healing for both of us, too, just to have these conversations on full display. But I think it would help other people as well just to hear this because a lot of people are not aware of lights.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we forget or how all these dynamics are. Right. Yeah, we've been in it for so long that we forget that the the way we speak about things is kind of different. It's not normal, but I feel like it should be. Everyone should be aware of this stuff, which is why we are here with you on this podcast. That's why we are here. Lights on. We should probably speak about what that actually means to someone that might not be aware of it yet. So, how would you describe how to find what lights you up? Well, definitely, first step is self-awareness, know thyself. And that's a huge leap in itself. Because you gotta, it's an it's a multi-layered, I don't want to say onion, but you know what I mean? It's layer upon layer upon layer. And years sometimes. It it does. It takes time to uncover who we really are, what our calling is, what lights us up. And that's okay. That's you gotta enjoy the journey of each layer being peeled away and dissolving. And I think another key element is having people that you love and trust. There is mutual respect and honesty to have that feedback. We give each other feedback all the time, like wow, you are totally lit up from that. And that's a that's a nugget, a golden nugget, a clue to oh, when I did this activity, I am completely lit up and someone saw the change. That is huge. So we like to say, oh wow, that lights you up because that gives a clue and that feedback to that person. Oh, when you dance, you are freaking lit up. You gotta continue dancing because when you do what lights you up, everything in your life changes. It completely changes the game. When you do the things that don't light you up, that's how you get caught in a riptide, and all of a sudden you're all the way over there and you don't know how the fuck that happened. So lights are your north star. What I like to also see in people that are lit up, you can see it in their eyes, the way their face lifts up, their cheekbones lift. There's beauty too. There is, there's vitality, there's mana in Hawaii, it's called mana, prana in the uh Eastern traditions, qi as well, mojo, and aliveness. It's like a measurement of aliveness in someone. Are they walking around in a in a sleep and functioning through life, just barely getting by? Or are they fucking lit up as a creator and interacting with this collective reality as a creator? Jim Quick, he's a one of our mentors. We love how he he asks, Are you the thermostat? Are you the thermometer? And I think most of us live as a thermometer for so long until we wake up and decide I'm gonna be the thermostat. We control it. Yeah, we are we are in the driver's seat on that part in life. What do you see in people that are lit up?
SPEAKER_01It just radiates from them. You can feel it in the room, and when you're next to the person, you also feel radiated because not in a radiated in a bad way. Not radiation, but you feel it, you're lit up, they're lit up. Yeah, and again, with the beauty aspect too, you can see it physically. In inner beauty, yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_00In men and women, yeah, it it doesn't matter, it's the beauty inside them radiating. I love that. It's also in a non-visible way, though, as well. It's funny how much we perceive and we we don't always have awareness how much information we're taking in. You can sense someone that's magnetic when they walk in the room, like what you mentioned, you can feel it. And what's interesting is when you watch it, it's like a ripple, right, into the room. You can see it if you tune yourself into it. It's like a pattern. And what's even more fascinating is to watch who gets triggered by it and tries to turn that person off and who turns on from it because they have no resistance to it, to being turned on with their lights. It splits the room, not in half, because I'd say there's more people triggered by it than people that become lit up by that person.
SPEAKER_01And the people who are triggered will try to take them out.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Guaranteed. It's interesting. Human humans I think that jealousy and envy is a really interesting reality. And it's I've actually had a lot of painful experiences from it because I didn't understand what was actually happening. And ultimately it has nothing to do with anyone other than that person that's feeling that emotion. But it just means that they're not living their truth, they're not getting what they actually need in life because they're operating from programs that are dooming them into living with no lights. If you're lit up, you are not fucking jealous and envious. In fact, you if you're lit up, you're looking for more lit up people because it's fucking lonely. You're like, where's my lit up friends? Where's the lit up people alive? Life is a miracle. We are literally here to be magnetic, living in our full potential, lit up and radiating that love. And we'll continue to like talk about the light killers because they are pretty funny stories, and I know everyone can relate because there are there's always that person in the group when you're in a group setting, the light killer, guaranteed. There's always at least one, maybe a couple. And they do cause a muck. They really do. If you let them. I mean, you let them cause a muck, but you don't let them get you turn you off. No.
SPEAKER_01Every Sunday at 11:59 p.m., we will be releasing a new podcast episode. This way you'll have it all through Monday just to start your week off right. Nice. But arguably some people think the week starts on Sunday. That's true. And to support the show, you can leave a five-star review, download our episodes, and follow us. We are on all podcasts. We are in padcast. We're on an all podcast.
SPEAKER_00We are on all podcast platforms. We're super excited to be offering you a 10% discount at healthlighting.com, one of our favorite companies. We buy all of their bulbs. They have Chromalux, full spectrum light bulbs, and we switched all of our LEDs out for them, as well as their red light bulbs, which we love to use at nighttime before bed. You can look at all the studies, the red light before bedtime really helps to kick on that melatonin production and assists in a deeper rest and our circadian rhythm. You can look up the studies about blue light in uh LED light bulbs, and even in the casinos, they use them purposefully because they keep us awake and affect our amygdala in interesting ways. Look it up, highly recommend it. But Health Lighting is an incredible company. We love them. They've been around over 60 years and they offer wonderful light bulbs that are designed for our health, well-being, and mood. And they have those missing light frequencies that emulate the sun. So try them out. It's worth it. We love them. The discount code is lights on podcast in all capital letters, and it's 10% off. Okay, guys, see you next Monday. Stay. Oh.
